How do I qualify?

You must be at least 21 years of age and a Michigan resident in order to qualify. Applications are filtered through our selection process and are chosen on a case by case basis.

How many times can I submit a form and can I make changes after submitting?

You may submit one form per endeavor (business, organization, etc.). Once you submit your form you may not go back and make changes. Please review our submission checklist criteria for additional information.

Can I apply to the program via email?

No, the only way to apply for the grant is by completing and submitting your application through our online form.

Can I apply if I don’t live in Michigan?

At this time, we are only accepting applications from Michigan residents.

Can I apply if I still have any cannabis convictions on my record?

Yes.

Can I apply if I have any non-cannabis related convictions?

Yes.

Is there a deadline to submit your application?

At this time, no. However, we aim to announce recipients quarterly.

How often are recipients selected?

Our goal is to select recipients quarterly but that is subject to change based on the number of submissions received.

What type of file should we submit our business plan and other documents?

All word documents should be submitted as a PDF, images in PNG or JPEG format and video/audio media in mp4 format. If you have any links please insert them in that designated text box. Any documents submitted in Word format will be omitted.

What is the attachment file size limit?

Files can’t be above 256MB.

How can I verify my application was submitted?

You will be notified via the email address provided in the application that your application has been submitted and received.

Will I be notified if I am not selected?

Yes, we will notify you via email.
